Dr Andong completed her undergraduate studies from the University of Buea.  Since her graduation, she has worked as a General Physician for the Cameroon Baptist Convention and currently for the Ministry of Public Health providing primary health care to some of the most impoverished communities including refugee communities in the Eastern Region of Cameroon. She is engaging local communities and finding solutions to rising rates of unattended home deliveries, poor infant vaccination coverage, malnutrition and sexual promiscuity especially amongst teenage refugee populations. Dr Andong is currently a junior research fellow at the Human and Health Development (2HD) research group.
